Have you noticed those people who purchase new clothing and proceed to walk around with the tags still on? Whether it be their shirts,hats,jeans, or bags...that's just plain ol tacky and annoying.

It always bothers me when people want to prove themselves by how much their clothing cost. You are (well should be) your own individual. The price of your clothes should not determine how you view yourself, or how others view you.

No matter the price,designer or time of the year there are certain clothing items that are a must. These pieces are the necessities in clothing unless you just live under a rock and don't have events in your everyday life that matters. *that was a crazy long sentence but I didn't know where to add a comma or start anew...*

Womens list: black pants,black basic skirt,white dress shirt,gym/tennis shoe,black flats,black heels,business suit (pant or dress) basic every day jean (dark denim),basic jacket,white tee shirt,simple bag (medium size)

Mens list:black slacks,white dress shirt,tie *has to be the right length for your height*,tennis shoes,black dress shoes,white tee shirt,basic every day jean (color of denim isn't as important for men),basic jacket

Now as you can see the two list don't really vary much. That's because they both contain items that are either for important events like a job interview, a date, etc. With other items/accessories added these can go from dress down to dress up.

whats the real skinny?

I adore skinny jeans with all of my heart. But i think they dont do certain people justice.

If you can not move your legs with out fear of your jeans ripping in inappropriate places...you might be skinny but get them in a size bigger.


If your legs are the same width from the hip all the way to your ankles...I'm sure SJ's are NOT for you.

But with that being said, just because you do have curves in your body doesnt mean you wont look good in them either...

so all i'm really saying is..KNOW YOUR BODY AND WHAT WORKS!!

I've been hearing alot about this young lady recently, and i admit... I wasnt paying her much attention. *shame on me*

But...lemme just say I was definitly sleeping on Ms.Perry! her voice is amazing! with hit songs out such as 'kissed a girl' and 'hot and cold' how could she not be hott?? Not only is she a song bird she is also what i call a style icon. Reminding young girls that they can be inspired by differnt types of styles and make that style their own.

there is some good left after all

So while the rest of my life seems to be crumbling before my very eyes, I.e no job, can't seem to FIND a job, no money, bills coming in every month,"friends" showing their true colors, etc etc etc it seems my fashion life is starting to blossom. Atleast in this past month I've started to feel more positive about myself as a designer. I've been approached with a few good opportunities and while I don't want to speak on them too soon...some good stuff is in the works for me! So wish me luck! And continue to keep me posted on anything you think I might be interested in...thanks!!

Family Gathers Around Natasha Richardson

The family and friends of the actress Natasha Richardson gathered at Lenox Hill Hospital on Wednesday to be at her side.

Ms. Richardson, 45, suffered a head injury on Monday while skiing in Quebec and was flown from Montreal Tuesday night to Lenox Hill, on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Her mother, the actress Vanessa Redgrave, was seen entering the hospital that night, and her sister, Joely Richardson, was also reported to have shown up at the hospital that evening.

Her husband, the actor Liam Neeson, who had reportedly been filming a movie in Toronto when the accident occurred, was seen on Tuesday afternoon crouched inside an ambulance beside his wife at Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal, as she lay heavily wrapped in blankets with tubes around her face.

Alan Nierob, a family spokesman, said on Wednesday afternoon that he had no information about Ms. Richardson's medical condition. Asked if she was on life support or had been taken off life support, or if she was brain dead or in a coma - all of which has been reported on several media outlets over the last 24 hours - Mr. Nierob replied: "I don't deal with rumors. I don't care about rumors. All I care about is facts. And I don't have any facts to give you."

A spokeswoman for the hospital as well as business representatives for Ms. Richardson referred questions to Mr. Nierob.

Throughout the day on Tuesday, there were conflicting reports about Ms. Richardson's medical condition. La Presse, Montreal's French language broadsheet, reported that a source at the hospital said that Ms. Richardson was in a "profound and irreversible coma." Other media outlets reported that she was on life support - and that, once in the United States, it would be withdrawn - while other news outlets said that she was brain dead.

The reports of Ms. Richardson's grave condition seemed especially shocking considering the seemingly harmless nature of the accident.

Lyne Lortie, a spokeswoman for the Mont Tremblant ski resort in the Laurentian Hills north of Montreal, said Ms. Richardson had fallen during a beginner's lesson. She was not wearing a helmet at the time, she said.

"It was a normal fall; she didn't hit anyone or anything," Ms. Lortie said. "She didn't show any signs of injury; she was talking and she seemed all right."

As a precaution, when she left the slopes, Ms. Richardson was accompanied by a member of the resort's ski patrol and her instructor, who then remained with her at her hotel.

When she began complaining of a headache about an hour later, she was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Ste. Agathe, Quebec, about 20 minutes from the resort. Ms. Lortie said that Ms. Richardson was transferred to the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal later in the afternoon.

Ms. Richardson won a Tony in 1998 for her performance in "Cabaret." Her film performances include roles in "The Handmaid's Tale" and "The Parent Trap." Her father, Tony Richardson, was a director, who died in 1991. She and Mr. Neeson married in 1994.

In January, Ms. Richardson and her mother, Ms. Redgrave, gave a benefit concert reading of Stephen Sondheim's "A Little Night Music" at The Roundabout Theater. Ms. Richardson played Desirée Armfeldt, and Ms. Redgrave played her stage mother. The two were reportedly planning a longer run of the revival in New York.

miche bag...whats that?

I know most women are really into their bags and having them match their outfits. a while ago i came across an infomercial for an item called a MICHE Bag ...

To make it simple... it's one bag and instead of changing bags, you change the outside shell. The shell stays on by way of magnet.

I'm not to sure how i feel about how i feel about my bag looking differnt because of a magnet.I mean what if the magnetic power weakens or something and I'm out in public and it falls off? lol. Anyway..it also cost 49.99... I think thats a little pricey. Feel free to check it out

16 with a twist

So I know the new fb craze is the whole 10,16,25,34,etc randoms notes. Well I've decided to throw a twist on it. I'm gonna do a '16 randoms' note with a fashion twist...here goes!!

1.when I was little most of my clothes used to come from Kmart,walmart,etc and I was terribly embarrased about it. Now I could give 2 craps where my clothes come from.

2. My oldest bro bought me my first pair of name brand shoes when I was in 5th grade. I trophied those shoes a lot.

3.after those shoes I always saved my money to buy my own shoes. Again..now I can careless where my shoes come from

4. I love salvation army

5. I like shirts with characters on them but I don't really want to wear them anymore.

6.I can never find jeans to fit just right. And when I do I think I wear them too much. So I wear them out and can't wear them anymore. :-/

7. I don't like clothing to match 100%. Somethings got to be a bit off.

8.I think heels are really sexy, but I don't own a lot nor do I like staying in them

9.I prefer flip flops over any shoe

10. I think fall is the best season for fashion bk you can layer but not be too hot and its not too cold

11. I really love fashion scarves but sometimes don't want to wear them bk Everyone else is :-/

12. I don't really follow many trends

13. Acessories are a must!

14. I used to love DOTS...I don't anymore

15.I don't own designer clothes and I'm great with that

So how many 20 somethins do you know who don't own a pair jeans? Not too many I'm sure. But guess what? I do..and he goes by the name of Erik G. 22 year old Erik is a different type of guy, he rocks to his own beat. He's not worried about what anyone has to say regarding him or his personal style. You can catch him wearing his favorite pair of "Good & Plenty" pj pants lounging around takin it easy. When it comes to seasons Erik's favorite to get dressed for would be any, other than winter. Winter is a time when you have to wear so many layers just to be warm that sometimes that takes away from ones personal style. Erik prefers to just wear a tshirt and pair of shorts outside, my man!! So lets all take a page out of Erik's book, be chill and unique in our own little fashion words.

do looks really matter?

I really wonder what the true answer to that question is. Do our looks really matter when it comes to first impressions,job interviews,random meetings, etc. Why are we as humans not allowed to dress how we want, when we want without the fear of being judged by someone else. Just because a woman has all her cleavage out, does that give the impression she's easy? And if so, why? When its 5pm and a guy is walking down the sidewalk in plaid pajama pants does he look lazy? Why do we think this way? Why do we have to put our best clothes on to go to church? why do we have to wear a pressed white shirt and slacks to a job interview? Just questions on my mind. There could be answers, but do they really matter?

So I am really at a loss right now because I don't have internet. I was borrowing wireless from the people underneath me in my apt complex...but then one day it stopped working.lol. So that's why I harldly update these days. And the fact my digi cam has zero batteries. And I can't afford to buy new ones right now.*sigh*

I was never a person to wear hats. But seeing as that I'm growing up and realizing that my health is more important than being cute I've been on that hat tip. And the fact that hats are cute these days. Versus when I was a kid and all the hats in my house hold were hideous! When I get to my d.c I'll post some pics!
