2008 is quickly approaching its end! So we must welcome 2009. I'm sure many are going to be celebrating the new year in differnt ways. A popular way is going out and getting dressed up. Sometimes getting dressed up can be quite pricy. With money being so hard to come by I found some nice looks for under $50.00!

make up... made what?!?!?

Make up is one of those things that is a guilty pleasure. I say that because if applied the right way most who wear it look absolutely gorgeous. Then there's thatv make up that looks horrid! You know...the kind that's caked on? Isnt blended.The wrong shade for that persons tone. Just plain and simple ALL WRONG!!


Now me personally...don't really know too much about applying make up. I know that I dont want to look like a clown. Besides eye liner and the occasional mascara i'm a rookie at it. The other day I was bored and decided to play in my make up box! wahoo!! lol







Now my friend Thalia is a beast at it! This girl will paint a portrait on your face! lol. And yes that may sound bad like your face is all caked and coated with product but absolutely not. She's amazing!!!



Alot of people also are not big fans because either they are not sure how to apply. Or they dont want to get caught up in HAVING to wear the make up just to look normal! I know we've all seen that woman who you probally didn't even know wore make up untill the day she DIDN'T wear it....not the business!!

Black & white....Color...Brown...who cares??

i'm a person who usually gets stuck in my ways, and most of the time i dont even realize it. like with clothing for example, for awhile all of my clothing was black. Maybe not black from head to toe...but there was a nice amount of black in my wardrobe. And no matter how hard i'd try I just couldnt seem to shake the habbit. Then when i finally switched it up, i went to brown. lol.But i've noticed as of late i have been trying really change up. Like for real this time!As hard is it may seem, I have been adding COLOR to my clothes!! whoop whoop!! And the funny thing is that the outfits themselves are nothing special. Just a lil mis match here...mis match there....and bam!! I've got an outfit full of color that i like!

so i guess the point of this entry is sometimes its not bad to get outside of your own personal box and try something new. It may be a little scary at first, but when it comes down to it you will probly feel better about the overall outcome. who cares if you look like everyone else? who cares if your clothes match? As long as YOU like it then thats ALL that matters!

just some thoughts...

I don't want to be a sugar coated or waterd down designer. I don't want to be like everyone else out here. I want to be able to look at my clothing and know that I havnt seen anything like it before. I don't want it to be seen as a joke. Therefore I must put my all into my work. I have to research not just what's hot, but what WILL be hot! I have to take what's the current trend and switch it up. Who wants to walk around and look just like everyone else? No one! ( I hope) if you do then your just a character. Characters are wack, but they're all around. I just want to be able to look at my pieces and think....ya....that's crazy differnt! I've been somewhat discourged about my work lately because I feel as if its not standing out enough. So now I'm realizing...I just have to work that much harder for what I want!
So with that being said just remember to

People watching at its best...

So I'm sitting at my wonderful job (the mall) *smell tha sarcasim* and since I have a whole hr to kill before I actully start work I'm just sitting here people watching. And since today is a saturday and people must have ALL got the memo...the mall is def on bang. So much so that I have an attitude..but I digress..back to the subject at hand...

People are turning up their creativity levels by the millions!! I love it! I'm seeing soooo many different styles of dress.I would take pictures but their walking to fast and I'm too shy to just walk up to complete strangers and ask for a picture.

I've noticed boots really say a lot about a person and the style they posess. Boots are all over, I mean it IS november & Michigan. I've seen UGG boots, patent leather boots, suede,cowboy,floral patternd, high heeled, low heeled,flats, EVERYTHING!

Another hott item is scarves! I love them! And right now it seems to be two main styles. Fashion scarves and weather scarves. I call fashion scarves the kind that you wear only to match your outfit. You can get them from all over. H&M,Vanity, Forever 21,etc etc. And then theirs the weather scarves. Those are the kind you wear to keep your neck warm. Most of the time you don't care what they look like aslong as they do the job. Those can come from ANYWHERE!!

Well those are the seasons must haves in my fashion world...scarves and boots!!

I Design...

Ever since I was younger i've always been into fashion. Its funny because I actully didnt even realize how much fashion was involved in my life. i just knew that my mom sometimes picked outfits out for me that i absolutley HATED!! I would get into trouble for hiding them in the back of my closet and never wearing them. lol. But it never just hit me how much i liked clothing. Apparently alot of my friends and family realized it more than i did. Oh well, thats how these things work.

About 3 years ago i started my own custom painted clothing line called

i've been teaching myself basicly every thing that i know. i have had some help from some other designers who are into this craft as well. Today i was searching the internet for something that i dont even remember right now and i came across this great website!! its called fashion-templates.com
I love it because it has templates that you can use when making patterns. now technically i do not sew, but im in the process of teaching myself that too. so big woop woop to this site!!!

Trendsetting Tuesday's

I've decided that i'm really going to stop neglecting this blog. I was thinking fashion never stops, so why should I? What if the designers,stylist,models, consultants, fashion show organizers, etc, quit?!?!? Then what would happen to the fashion industry? Everything would go banannas!! lol. So with that being said I promise to keep up with the blog!


Tuesday is such a blah day out of the week. So I figure I'd decide to spice it up a bit. Each Tuesday I'm going to highlight a person who I belive to be a trendsetter. Something about their fashion sense is definitly on point! This week I will be highlighting my very own nephew Ilario!

Now as you can see. he's a beast in the fashion world. I mean he saw that my other nephew Zach had this adorable leather and didnt wear it. ( Zach is 4) And he asked if he could have the jacket. As soon as he put it on...he NEVER wanted to take it off!! Can you blame him??

Man!! look at these kicks!! super cool!! i was in target today browsing around and ended up in the kids shoes. man these shoes made my day. i took more pics but my phone is actin evil and wont upload them. but i think i fell in love. i mean they captured all the favorite cool characters. spongebob.dora.hello kitty. spider man.batman.etc etc. im just too geeked! i need to go find a kid who i can go buy shoes for.

Ok so I know that I can't be the only person who has walked out the house dressed , looked around, seen my peers and was disgusted by what they had on. No I'm not talking about the name brand or anything like that.

I'm talking about when its 5:00pm and you see a female outside walking around in pajamapants, sleep head scarf, houseshoes, and a dingy tank top/shirt. Now she KNEW better! That's un acceptable. The day is half way done and you got on pjs?lookin like you just rolled outta bed?? Yuck! Put some real clothes on! You never know whose looking.

Or what about the dude who is 4'5. His pants are 5 times too big. So just to pretend like they might possibly fit he has on 3 pair of hoop shorts underneath. A tall tee that's 4 sizes too big. Not to mention that because home boy is SHORT there is NO need to have on a TALL tee. What's going on?? I know jay z told yall young boys/males to throw on a fresh crisp button up. But nah, atleast wear clothes that fit. I promise you will still feel comforatable.

This is just something I always wonder about...when a person has on the shortest shorts,flip flops, no socks right? But then you look at their upper half...they have a hoodie. A long shirt underneath, a thick warm neck scarf and a winter scully on.WTF!! Either you're hot,cold,or warm...but how are you ALL of the above?? Hmmm...makes me wonder.

Well this is my first offiicial blog! well i'll start with telling you guys about myself, and the blog...yipee!!!

Outfit#1- Brightness

This is what i like to call purple pasion! I love skinny jeans!! I mean who doesnt??right??!?!? Not to mention the colored skinny jeans. They just make outfits saPOP that much more!! And most of the time i dont like wearing complete outfits that match, but this time i made the acception. Ya, i rocked the matching purple bag too! My shirt is cool just because their is a radio on it. And i mean...who doesnt like music??lol. Lets not forget the loafers... how many people do you know that have PINK LOAFERS??? very few!! ( WELL I HOPE!! LOL) .

Well this was a sweet outfit cuz i was super bright, and it made me feel good about my day to come! :)
